Our governments are bloated. The Federal Government is full bloat and so in the District of Columbia government. Government is not about jobs, it’s about necessary services and missions. Do we need to prop-up the businesses in dairy and sugar industries as is done at the Department of Agriculture? Sugar is horrible for our bodies and dairy is not much better for adults. Why provide Federal subsidies for these industries? Similarly, we know that our Navy should not be evaluated by the number of ships it sails and the number of sailors on those ships. They are all vulnerable to precise hypersonic Chinese weaponry. The cost of a sophisticated drone pales that of a manned F-22 and is usually just as effective. Let’s lead by example at the Federal level first. Congress is supposed to control the purse. We will work to see that it does so long as the services and missions are maintained.
