Our roads, bridges, pipes, and power-lines are falling apart. We need to reinvest in infrastructure at the Federal level first. Unfortunately, our do-nothing Congress cannot pass an infrastructure bill. One side or the other will not give an inch on anything. G-d forbid that someone might think that the other side won something. Who cares? Political processes exist to accomplish tasks that should be performed by the government, like fixing an Interstate bridge, building a new sewage treatment plant, refurbishing a decaying dam, or providing internet cabling to remote areas. Elect me to Congress and I will press my colleagues to pass an infrastructure bill within the first 90 days of the new Congress.
